Every year we want to check out Taste of the Danforth which celebrates Greek cuisine and culture, but never do. It’s the 21st year of the largest street festival in Canada and we decided this year has to be different, we have to go to Greektown!
With the perfect weather yesterday and surprisingly reliable subway, we got to the Danforth early in the evening. We walked through the dense crowd and as expected most of the build up was around food line ups and stages with live performers ranging from music, dancing, and a fashion showcase.
There is an Alexander Keith’s Beer Garden for the adults and activities in the Sports Zone including a rock climbing wall and interactive area for fans of the Argonauts, Maple Leafs, Raptors and Toronto FC.

If you plan on heading down to the last day of Taste of the Danforth today, it starts at noon and wraps up at 8:00pm. We recommend taking the subway because the traffic around Pape station was unreal and it will unnecessarily sour your experience. Get off at either Broadview, Chester or Pape subway station and follow the crowd up to street level.
